Loss in the JetsInsider.com Family

Got some sad news yesterday when I was told that a regular poster here had passed away. His username was GreenPetey and some of you may recognize his avatar.

His real name was Peter Matta who was a diehard Jets fan with his wife for over 35 years. Peter was also a retired Police Sergent who dedicated his life to law enforcement and helping others.

Peter fell ill just before the new year and after a month long battle, succombed to his illness.

Peter's wife Paula also posts here as well under the username "gottalovethechad".

He was one of the most vibrant, life-embracing people I've ever seen. he seemed to be a really friendly, affable guy.

This is sad news.

Pete was one of the friendliest guys here and was certinly a die hard Jets fan for sure. May God bless him and the Matta family.

I remember several of Pete's posts very well.

Extremely knowledgable and a huge Jet fan.

Very sad indeed...........I was wondering why he didn't respond to my emails, I just thought he was busy.....
