Please Don't Drink And Drive

Some of you may remember me from the old board. I read posts here daily but haven't posted my own in quite a while. May I please take this opportunity to ask my friends here to please not drink and drive. My best friend (best man in my wedding too) was killed when he was a passenger in his own vehicle and the driver fell asleep after a night of drinking while driving home the next morning. Some of you met him at the Jets vs. Chargers game in 2002. My friend was only 29 years old. He was and always will be my best friend. Please remember that the consequences of drinking and driving extend beyond yourself: family, friends, even acquaintances are left so hurt. If this post can save even one life, one day of sadness, one tear, than Anthony's memory is a special one. Thank you for all of your support during this tragic time.

Joey, I feel your pain. I have lost too many friends to drinking, drugging and driving.

SDS (Sudden Death Syndrome) is the worst part for the people and loved ones you leave behind. My sincerest condolences to you and Anthony's family.

We probably did meet you guys if you were at Dick's Last Resort the night before that game, or at A-3 at "The Murph" before the game. Condolences on your loss, Joey. I'm lucky to live in an area where driving is not necessary. Mass Transit, jitney or bicycle gets me anywhere I need to go.

SORRY TO HERE OF YOUR LOSS JOEY, Lets hope all our friends here take this advice to heart ,I`ve made so many good friends here .I`d hate to see any of them go. First PETE now this ,this is a real depressing day here today.. :( :(

That's horrible, especially since he was trying to do the right thing by being a passenger.

Sorry about your loss and the loss of your friend's family. I can't imagine how tough it is right now. I for one never drink and drive even if it is a block.

It takes a special person to think of others during the incredible sadness and loss you must be dealing with. GOD bless you and tell your friend's family we pray for them.
