Only a yankee fan could say this. Any other team would surely love to have a pitcher of Maddux' calibre. Sure he hasn't pitched lights out the last season or 2, but he won 16 games last year. He could easily do that for the yanks with this lineup. And talk about driving the steak further into the hearts of Red Sox fans! I bunch of my friends were not happy at all to see you land Maddux right after Rodriguez.
I'm glad he went to the Cubs. |

George would have been interested in Maddox only so he could win his 300th in Pinstripes. But that's not worth a 3 year contract to a 38 year old pitcher, especially since we already have one of those (Brown).

Weren't all the yankee fans talking about how unbelievable it would be for the yanks to sign greg maddox? Now they are all saying he sucked cuz he didn't sign

watch out for the cubbies again this year, what a rotation...
Wood Prior Maddux Clement Zambrano also shored up the pen with LaTroy & 1B with Lee...pudge would have been nice though |

Maddux is not what he used to be, but he will give at least 6 quality innings every night. He rarely walks anyone, and is a great addition to any rotation. 3 years for $24 is a great deal for both Maddux and the Cubs. Merchandising, results, and mentor to Prior and Wood is going to be supreme. Cubs are in awesome shape.
