Got my little pitch for tickets in the mail yesterday and they threw in a couple pockets scheds, with Cliff Floyd on the cover, not Piazza.

Anybody surprised to see that?

That's surprising. I figured Piazza and/or pretty boy Glavine would be on the cover. Maybe even Matsui and/or Reyes to attract the Asian-Americans also. What was the motto on the front of it along with the 2004 Mets?

No motto this year, just Mets, year, tel #, and web address.

They must have come up with that brilliant phrase too late to make it to the printer in time for the scheds.

Cliff on the cover was the first thing I noticed, to be honest I didnt even look inside too much. I wonder if they are contiously trying to remove mikey from the forefront. If Mike is not the face of the team, it might be easier to move him to an AL team. Less negative backlash from the fans.
The only other thing i looked at was the $5 games. If they are not going to spend the money for the team, why should I spend money to go see them?

I'll try for Opening Day tomorrow, but the sunday package won't get bought until they bring me a starter and/or a slugging OF.

You can usually get Opening Day/Mets-Yankees online. I had gone to Shea in 2001 and 2002 lining up at the buttcrack of dawn to do so. Now that I'm up here, obviously no Opening Day. It'd be hard to convince me to pay the ridiculous amt of money to go to those "Gold" games.

When advertising the METS upcoming season on MSG Network this year, instead of "You gotta believe", it's "To Believe", which is prety much the same thing if you ask me.

For some of the losers on that starting lineup, the motto should be "CATCH THE BALL!........."

Jetgirl, make sure to log on pretty early... tickets go on sale at 9am, I reckon they'll be sold out by 3 pm at the latest.

Anyone else trying to get Mets tickets online now? I've been trying since about 9AMto get for Mets-Yanks, stuck in a virtual wating room, can't get through. Every now and then i keep getting something coming up from MLB.com saying theyre having techinical difficulties and can't figure out what team I'm trying to get tickets for.
Mets organization is so incompetent they can't even sell their tickets.
