I'll bet the Yanks quietly work a deal, similar to what they did with Lieber. A small $$$ value deal for this season, and an option for 2005 at larger $$$$$$, depending on his recovery. And it will be for 2nd base.
Assuming, of course, that George doesn't try to syick it to the BoSox and sign Nomar after this season.
