Nazr is a very athletic big man. We haven't had that since Ewing, although Nazr is not the offensive threat Patrick was. Along with Baker and Sweetney, we are solid at the 4 and 5. Add in Harrington and Deke as backups, and we can easily trade Kurt for something. Package Kurt, Norris or Williams, and maybe Anderson for Wallace, or similar. Or a combo of those guys and get a draft pick.

Although I agree with you on trading these guys, Have we had a decent draft pick play for us SINCE Patrick Ewing?

Not worth it unless we get a top 5 pick.

The trading deadline has long passed and why would you trade for Rasheed when he's a FA this summer, and has said many times he wants to sign the mid-exception level with the Knicks.

You're right about the draft picks, but....

Layden won't be drafting, Isaiah will. So a Camby, McGrady, et al could be the type he drafts next time. This is what he did for Toronto.

Also, Williams and Sweetney seem OK, so far. Not dominatnt major All-Stars, but more than serviceable.

I'm talking a sign and trade for next season. I do not believe Sheed will accept $5 million from NY, when Detroit will offer $8 million. My scenario is the way to get this done, since the Pistons get an adequate "4" out of the deal.

Smizzy.

He was quoted several times when he was still in Portland and Atlanta that he was going to accept the MLE from Isaiah and play in NY with Steph. All the local papers had it.

I doubt he'll go here. We don't need him anyway. I am VERY happy with Sweetney.
