I think Bush is stronger with his National Defense policies. To me its the most important issue after 911.

Bush is not stronger on national defense..and in the post 9/11 world you can be assured that fighting terrorism and keeping attacks off our soil will be a PRIORITY of any administration (dem or rep)..
You can make a very good argument that Bush isn't doing nearly enough to fight terrorism..Putting 150,000 US troops in Iraq and spending over 100 billion on Iraq is taking the resources away from fighting terrorism..Al qeada is the enemy...saddam and his crook administartion was pilfeing the iraqui people to line their pockets...they were the furthest thing from devout fanaticle muslims.. |

300,000 new jobs added this month.
300,000 new jobs added last month. The Economy is doing great. We must stay the course in the war on terror. Making changes in a time of war shows weakness. If Osama had a vote it would be for Kerry! |

I think four more years of Bush will be great!
He just might finally show up for national guard duty and finally string four sentences together on his own. |

bman - how old are you?
only young people can differ in opinion from you?
No, I want to know how old he is. I'm curious. You guys are new to this board, in the past we've all said how old we were, etc. I'm 29. I didn't realize that you can read minds.... |

I am going to vote for bush. The reason are I am happy with how he dealt with the economy. My life is pretty good right now. I am happy with the status quo. These are all very selfish reasons. I dont really see the alternative of what John Kerry is offering. All partisan talk aside, I don't see how his vision will improve my life. There fore my vote is for the status quo where I like where I live and make a good living. That being said, I dont think that my life would be drastically altered if Kerry were elected. So If he is elected, I would not mind it. |

If so that would have been good. You could have worn warmer socks that day. |

Man of principle.
A strong, true leader (not a flip flopper). Lowered my tax bill. Presided over the largest economic growth in 30 years. Decimated the taliban and freed afghanistan. Led the charge to cripple al quada worldwide. Eliminated iraqi baath party and freed iraq. No domestic terrorists attacks in over two years. Forced nuclear inspectors into iraq, libya, iran and north korea without firing a shot. Force libya out of the WMD club. Has not subverted American policy and sovereignty to the farce called the united nations. Supports a strong defense and strong intelligence. Fights the war on terror as a war and not a legal exercise. Has a good sense of humor and great personality. A family man. |

YWM -
I meant new to this specific political forum, not JI proper. "Board" was a poor choice of words, however and I can see why you misunderstood me.... I didn't imply anything and you certainly have no idea as to what I am thinking. Like I said, us "regulars" and long-timers here all basically know some basic biographical information about each other. Some threads have even been started about it. It was NOT accusatory. How old are you? I am 29. I am married. I have no kids yet, but hope to be lucky enough to one day soon. I am an Irish Catholic by upbringing and do go to church every Sunday, yet ironically consider myself to be an agnostic. My wife is a believing Catholic. I am quite conservative philosophically, yet haven't voted GOP at any level since 1996. I am probably a libertarian, yet more socially moderate than they tend to be. I work as an equity analyst and live on Boston's South Shore, but grew up in Mountain Lakes, NJ which is why I am a Jets fan. |
