This was just posted on the Giants message board. This guy was my Professor at school last year

His former Harvard Business School professor recalls George W. Bush not just as a terrible student but as spoiled, loutish and a pathological liar.

Students who challenged and embarrassed Bush in class would then become the subject of a whispering campaign by him, Tsurumi said. "In class, he couldn't challenge them. But after class, he sometimes came up to me in the hallway and started bad-mouthing those students who had challenged him. He would complain that someone was drinking too much. It was innuendo and lies. So that's how I knew, behind his smile and his smirk, that he was a very insecure, cunning and vengeful guy."

Many of Tsurumi's students came from well-connected or wealthy families, but good manners prevented them from boasting about it, the professor said. But Bush seemed unabashed about the connections that had brought him to Harvard. "The other children of the rich and famous were at least well bred to the point of realizing universal values and standards of behavior," Tsurumi said. But Bush sometimes came late to class and often sat in the back row of the theater-like classroom, wearing a bomber jacket from the Texas Air National Guard and spitting chewing tobacco into a cup.

"At first, I wondered, 'Who is this George Bush?' It's a very common name and I didn't know his background. And he was such a bad student that I asked him once how he got in. He said, 'My dad has good friends.'" Bush scored in the lowest 10 percent of the class.

kevin i agree in the sense that what a man did 30 years ago shouldn't matter...

frankly i can judge this president based on his poor performance in office alone...

but since the GOP has made this campaign about what Kerry did or did not do a long time ago, why should the Prez be excempt?

for what it's worth, that actually sounds alot like a young Bush would sound... from even his own accounts he was a mediocre student at best

But didnt Kerry bring them upon himself? He was the one who was using Nam as one of his big platforms, and when he opned that pandoras box, the Republicans decided with run with what Kerry offered up to them. And the Reps didnt even do the dirtiest work, that was the Swift Boat people. If someone throws you a meatball down the middle, do you take it for a strike or do you drive it deep?

And dont make like the GOP are the only ones doing this. The Dems are constantly digging into Bush's past (coke addiction, DWI, military service) and actually making up lies (the forged documents).

I agree the only things that should matter are the two candidates records...but the Dems wanted the whole world to know about Kerrys military service, the Swift Boat Vets is trying to tell them right now.

brodyman there is a difference between talking about one's own record in a positive light (what you say Kerry was doing) and disparaging another man's record as lies (what you say the GOP was right for doing).

don't make it out to be the Democrats "started it" by talking about Kerry's record... for better or for worse the navy gave him hardware, and how does anyone expect the people to vote for a guy if they don't know about the candidate?

The GOP have been running a dirty campaign from the get-go and Democrats responded in kind... to say otherwise is to assume the Democrats are actually capable of such trechery... they are too simple for that...

Kerry telling voters what he did in his past is not an attack on George Bush.

But you still didnt respond to the forged documents being put out or the plethora of articles about Bush's past cocaine addiction or alchoholism.

And dont say there are no direct ties between those stories and the Dems because there are no direct ties to Bush and the Swift Boat Vets, as well as Stephen Pitkin. If you are going to say the GOP is responsible for all the Kerry bashing, than the Dems are certainly responsible for all the Bush bashing.

They *(my cousin's next door neighbor's babasitter's dentist's mechanic's brother's aunt's nail salon owner's ex-husband's stepson 4 times removed living in a van down by the river next to KFC)also said that Bush would take up 2 parking spots, insist the cafeteria staff cut off the crusts on his sandwiches and snored loudly during class.
