Has anyone else read this book? My brother has been trying to get me to read this for a couple of years now. I was a little skeptical because I had heard about some of Rand’s philosophies, namely “The virtue of selfishness”, but now that I’m almost finished with the book I’m pretty surprised how much I agree with her on a few issues, although she probably does go to some extremes.
Anyway, it’s a pretty good fictional book that deals a lot with politics, namely communism, which Rand was deeply against. I was just curious if anyone else had read this or had any comments. |

I've heard that Atlas Shrugged is great as well. I'd pick that one up next but the problem is that they are so long, I think I need a nice easy read before jumping into that one.

I read it a few months back. Great read.
Actually liked it a lot better than "Atlas Shrugged", which I thought got pretty painful to read at points. Either way, solid books. |

[/b][/quote] I've heard the Fountainhead was better. My brother has a few of her philosophy books I'm going to try to read eventually too. |
