Has anyone else read this book? My brother has been trying to get me to read this for a couple of years now. I was a little skeptical because I had heard about some of Rand’s philosophies, namely “The virtue of selfishness”, but now that I’m almost finished with the book I’m pretty surprised how much I agree with her on a few issues, although she probably does go to some extremes.

Anyway, it’s a pretty good fictional book that deals a lot with politics, namely communism, which Rand was deeply against. I was just curious if anyone else had read this or had any comments.

I've heard that Atlas Shrugged is great as well. I'd pick that one up next but the problem is that they are so long, I think I need a nice easy read before jumping into that one.

I read it a few months back. Great read.

Actually liked it a lot better than "Atlas Shrugged", which I thought got pretty painful to read at points.

Either way, solid books.

I've heard the Fountainhead was better. My brother has a few of her philosophy books I'm going to try to read eventually too.
