Okay,
So we need a TE, CB, WR, P to go play at the next level. This is based on the fact that we have an Elite level of #2 recievers on our team. So, what if, we elevate J Carter to Moss's spot (and Trade Moss). From what I have seen of there ability, we wouldn't be lossing much. With What we can get for moss, invest in a TE (he has to be able to block). Now our CB situation is not that straight. We have a really good 2ndary if our pass rush is jiving. But with J Abe hurt, that changes how long our CB's have to cover. It might be easier to address the J Abe situation, than the CB situation. I am up for any ideas on this one. As far as punters. lets see what is out there this season? Thoughts. |

[/b][/quote] Sorry, but no. While I am a WELL-KNOWN Santana doubter (not a hater, just a doubter), there is absolutely NO WAY I elevate Carter and trade Moss solely on CARTER'S talent. Carter is the definition of JAG, "Just a Guy". He only skill is speed, and that just isn't enough in this league. No, unless we pick up an top-quality TALL/STRONG WR to replace Sanatana Moss (like Plaxico Burress, Jerry Porter, Mike Williams from USC or similar), then I am sticking with Moss for better of worse. Carter is not Plax. Carter is no Porter. Carter is no Williams. Carter is likely not even a Jet in 2005. |

Am I the only one who thinks J. Carter sucks? He is maybe a # 3 recevier - at best. More likely, a quality #4. I don't think Moss is a #1 receiver, but other than Randy Moss, I am not sure one will be available. I think we will be fine with Santana, JMac and Cotchery. What was missing was a game plan. We need to target a corner in the draft and hopefully Strait pushes for a starting job next season.
