Then comes College Football, highlighted with the Bowl games, and College Basketball, highlighted with March Madness, ending with the Final Four weekend. Right along side those 2 is NASCAR, which is so dominant in the Southern USA, that it belongs up there. Everything else is way down the list. And Hockey in the USA is below everything else. That's their problem. |

Bottom line is a hockey lockout is not a big story. 1 out of 11 sportsfans is a hockey fan. not very good at all. Just as a point of comparison:
Recently a Poll was taken of sportsfans 28% knew who won wimbledon men's and women's championship in 2004 6.5% knew who won the stanley cup in 2004. That is just sad. That is why, no one cares if there is a hockey lockout. That is like a back page spread that featured a strike in Jai-Alai or that the top horse jockey is going on strike. No one cares. As for the Rangers, f the dolans. Anything the hurts those MSG bastards is good. -VilManiac |

The NHL is firmly cementing their position as a Second Tier sport. We all know they were close to begin with, but this debacle has pushed it over the edge.
