A little help over Merle Harmon?

Your lack of Jets knowledge and history is being quickly exposed.

ENOUGH!!!!

Know your JETS...Broadcasters!

For crying out loud, what are most of you people...21 year old beer drinking frat boys who discovered the Jets seven years ago?

WAKE UP!!!

Dig beneath the surface a bit...ask a question or two and clean out that pile of ear wax threatening to become permanant solidified rock between your head.

Where ya been all your life...at an orgy?

Bad moutning your country and listening to Mick Jagger music I'll bet.

READ:

MERLE HARMON

More than 40 years ago, Merle Harmon launched his sportscasting career during his senior year at the University of Denver. Over the years, Merle has been the voice of five Major League Baseball teams and called New York Jets games for nine seasons. He's even announced Winter Olympics and World Games.

TAKE A LOOK AT SOME HIGHLIGHTS OF MERLE'S SPORTSCASTING EXPERIENCE.

* 35 Years of Major League Baseball
* 45 Years of College and Pro Football and Basketball
* 24 Years of Network Television
* Winter Olympics and World Games in Moscow
* 3 Major League No Hitters, 2 Perfect Games
* Nolan Ryan's 5,000th Strike Out Game

A BROADCAST TO REMEMBER

Merle drew plenty of memorable assignments during his 45 years in sports broadcasting, but the one on the night of August 8, 1974 was unique. He went into the booth to call a World Football League game and became the only sports announcer in history to introduce the President of the United States for a speech on national television.

With the start of the game on hold, the camera moved to the White House Oval Office where a grim Richard Nixon informed the nation that he was resigning the next day. "After that, our game was pretty anti-climactic," Merle said.

Now...get down and give me twenty!!!!

Hell is unleashed upon your signal. That's funny--I was just about to tell you to go there. Seriously though (?) You're pretty funny, Merle. You've got style, and I respect that. Funny, I haven't seen Tom Shane around lately. Or does Shane head to a phonebooth when the offseason doldrums mount, and resurface as...Merle, the voice of the Jets offseason, and unleasher of hell. Still, you're a pisser mister Harmon. Take it as far as you can.

Good night to all...The TALKHOST is retiring for the evening.

Tomorrow I'll awake (Lord willing) to a nice breakfast and a cup of coffee...followed by a stroll to the park, a vacant bench, where I will light up a La Gloria Cubana Serie R-7...and begin a new book sent to me today, "The Boys Of Winter"...by Wayne Coffey.

Afterward I'll return home to fire up a terrific steak I have in the fridge...then I'll pop in a 1963 NY Titans game versus the Buffalo Bills (the complete game with commercials - not a highlight tape)...and fire up another award winning stogie with a warm glass of Cognac to boot while I watch the game.

Be well.

I am The TALKHOST...Hell is unleashed upon my signal.

I may even begin to teach a class.

Open up a 1963 Titan Game vs the Bills?? It must be a rare tape since
the Jets were the Titans from 60 to 62! 1963 the year I enlisted in the
service Weeb became HC and the Titans became the Jets!! Also they lost
twice to the Bills in 63 45-14 and 19-10..And to all the Dick Curl fans the
Jet QB that year was Dick Wood!! :P Oh we were 5-8-1 that year..
Harmon was a Funny Guy..Also did baseball College Football etc and
in 74 was the announcer for the WFL when Nixon resigned..Yeah I
remember him.. ;)

This Talkhost clown has been here before. He used to call himself "The Authority."

The style is unmistakable.

For those asking for help from the mods, though, I've got to say he really hasn't done anything to deserve banning, or even deletion. Yes, he's annoying. There's no rule against that.

Hey at least he smokes the good stuff. Well it's off-season anyway, let's see what else he's got. If he gets out of line, Savage will put him in his place.
