the only problems i have with these moves is how quickly Isiah gave up on Nazr, considering he was the "key" in trading Van Horn last year.
those deals last year sent us right off the edge, Van Horn was playing great for us last year and we haven't been the same since....could be just a coincidence. |

Thomas is a disaster....our roster is a revolving mess. All three guys we traded today didn't Thomas aquire last year through trades?
Rose has 22 Mill coming to him. Watch Nazi on a winning organization. From VanHorn deal on Thomas has not had a clue. If we are in rebuild mode, why did it take Thomas a year to make that decision? I heard we get 2 #1's from San Antonio one being Pheonix's. Hopefully the draft is deep. |

I didnt mind the Houston trade but the San Antonio trade just didnt make sense. Why would he trade the a decent center and take on a terrible contract just to get the last pick in the draft. That is just a brutal trade

This is basketball, not the name game!
Rose and Taylor play defense! They both come from the #1 and #2 defenses in the NBA in San Antonio and Houston. They were tought by Greg and Jeff Van Gundy. Nazr stinks and would never score if it werent for Marbury, he does nothing special. We're over the cap either way and now have 3 first rounders. |

Late 1st don't mean much... the NBA might install an age limit in the future which would REALLY thin out the draft for a few years plus the contracts are guaranteed.

Hopefully they do trade up in the draft to get a big man. Preferably ANDREW BOGANS out of UTAH, this guy is a monster.

I really can not see how this was a good trade for the Knicks
Two low first rounders will probably be wasted on "projects" or something stupid They have added even MORE salary, a lot more in the future Sure they may have upgraded the team by sending a bunch of dead weight away, but who cares? They aren't going anywhere with what they have now. That idiot Isiah needs to stop making trades all the time and let contracts expire, free up cap room, and sign some REAL players and not the revolving door of crapititude he has going on now. |

This is why people are upset with the deal.
Yes, the Knicks got good players in return, but they picked up $32 million dollars in contracts, not to mention Allan Houston and his gimp leg are still riding the pine, collecting and not contributing one iota. What exactly are the Knicks doing? Seriously? They have the highest payroll in the league, and the team is below .500 in probably the weakest division in the NBA. One word for you. DOLAN. Dolan, ITT, etc have all had the same outlook. As long as you guys continue to buy tickets and show up for this mess, the Knicks and Rangers will blow. It's about trying to make the playoffs, win 50 games, not about rebuilding, which is what this team needs to do. They want the Garden filled, not empty, and are afraid of any prolonged losing. Good luck, because things will be the same for a long time..... |
