Another cop killed in LOD

Atlanta Police Officer Cross, a 31 yr old 6 year veteran of the PD, and his partner approached a suspicious car Saturday night in a known drug location and were both immediately shot by the driver of the car.

P/O Cross, married with 2 kids, died. A third cop shot the driver and killed him.

Officer Cross is the 40th cop to die in the line of duty (LOD) in 2005.

IN Pittsburgh CA P/O Larry Lasater, 35 years old, was killed while chasing to bank robbery suspects, one of whom opened fire on the ex-marine. The cop was kept alive for 2 days while donors were found for his organs.

He leaves behind a 7 month pregnant wife.
