Oh those poor illegals

Border Patrol Chopper Forced Down by Thrown Rocks
Friday, August 26, 2005

Neither the pilot nor the Border Patrol observer was injured.

The A-Star helicopter was two miles west of the U.S. Port of Entry (search) in Andrade, Calif., on Tuesday when a group of immigrants began throwing rocks at the aircraft.

One baseball-sized rock gashed the rotor, forcing the pilot to land nearby, said Michael Gramley, spokesman for the Border Patrol sector based in Yuma, Ariz.

Gramley said he did not know how high the helicopter was hovering when it was struck, but he said it was being repaired and is expected back in service soon.

After the incident, 17 people were apprehended for illegally crossing the border, and two of them were being investigated for smuggling. Ten immigrants evaded capture.

The investigation into the rock-throwing was continuing.

You got remember 2 things here:

1) This was supposedly a group of "smugglers", so they probably go back and forth between the 2 counties unfettered 99% of the time....They finally saw the Border Patrol doing their job and just flipped out.....

It would be as if someone went out and broke laws on a daily basis (stole from a store) with impunity for a long time and profited handsomely from it......then, all of sudden, he finds a security guard actually DOING HIS JOB....he'd lose it :steamin:

2) Bush, president of the U.S, has been talking about amnesty and welcoming illegals since he gov' of Texas.....why should they feel any laws or common decency should apply to them?

If the leader of the U.S tells them he welcomes them all with open arms and will reward them in way possible, why should they care about or respect our BP agents?

I am probably one of the most liberal posters on this board but even I have ZERO tolerance to "illegal aliens".

One of the most troubling events I have seen were the snipers last year in Virginia. Authorities picked up an Illegal alien who was using a payphone the snipers were just at. Turns out the illegal alien did nothing wrong other then be here illegally. They actually debated whether or not to depart him. What was there to debate.

The guy was here ILLEGALLY!!!

lost in this "able danger" fiasco is the justification that Gorelik used to not pursue Atta ("he has a green card").

in the rush to BLAME the Clinton Administration the truth that both sides are guilty of letting Illegal immegration run rampant.... and it definately affects our national security.
