That's good news for us MET fans and I'm glad we beat out the Braves.

Since the METS already relinquished Piazza's and Cameron contracts, they're going to be movers and shakers this baseball offseason because they have lots of money to spend on other players too, like Manny.

Good move for the Mutts. Four years is a little long for Wagner, but overall the contract is pretty much a steal for the best closer this side of Mariano.

Nice move. How many games did Looper cost the Mets last year? Now they just need another setup man and another live arm in the pen and they can make some serious noise.

Subway Series 06. You heard it here first.

hmmmm, i'm sure foxsports wouldn't publish it w/o being certain. but i wonder why this isn't being reported anywhere else yet. anyway, not a bad deal, especially after what ryan did to the market. i thought it was gonna take around 4/44 to get wagner.

Mets blew 28 saves last year, with the additions of Delgado and Wagner I could easily see a 20-25 game improvement. Minaya is doing a good job, thankfully Wilpon is letting him.

idk, i know i'll probly be crucufied for saying this, but i'd kinda like to see piazza back next year. i mean, yeah he is a liability throwing runners out. but he was still the best offensive catcher in the national league last year. i guess i'm a little nostalgic, but i'd like to see him retire a met. plus i'd like to see him get another crack at a WS ring with the mets. one more thing. i'd like to see the mets go get aj burnett now too.

    Good signing Omar.

Now go get me a catcher and trade for Manny.

If you do those moves Shea Stadium will be packed deep into October.

Looks like I'll be trying to make my first Mets' Opening Day.

Minaya has done wonders this off season and it sounds like he isn't done yet.

Wagner will only add 2 or 3 wins over the course of the season, which is still good.

According to the Pythag. Win theorem, the Mets underachieved and probably should've won 90 games, which was 7 short of their actual. With these additions, they should win 90 and still may be 3 short of their expected.

I dont think it's overreacting at all, Wagner might be the best closer in the NL. Blowing 28 saves versus having one of the best closers in MLB? Not to mention Delgado's big bat

The Mets did not blow 28 saves last year.

Even if we did, that would not come close to a 20 game improvement. You think the 06 Mets will win 105 games next year?
