First Ever Thread: BEST - AMERICAN - BEER

OK - Guys, only American brewed strictly. What's the best.

I've had a lot, and I still think Sam Adams Boston Lager is the best American beer as far as taste, body and smoothness

    I agree. Yeung Ling.

There USED to be some real good ones years ago, Hamms, Lone Star, Pearl, Olympia, but then G. Heilmann brewing co. bought them all for their names and they all tasted the same.......NASTY!

As a PA guy, we like a good cold "Lager." If you ask for a Yeungling at the bar, they know you're not from the area. It's officially "lager" around these parts.

All in all, I'm more of a Rolling Rock guy.

I'd be afraid to use the generic term, not knowing what kind of "lager" to expect!

Sorry, but I've been gun shy since I had a bad experience at the Pittsburgh airport (see: IronCity)

I've seen Michelob that way in Florida.

Sorry bro, I LOVE all kinds of beers except two: Iron Sh*tty and Milwaukee's best.

it ain't the best, but if you live in Pittsburgh you are forced to like it because of pride and the aluminum bottles are really great in the summer cause they feel so cold

Guys, it has to be Old Style.

I know, I'm a Chicago guy at heart, but that beer is seriosuly underestimated.

I have found so many transplants here in Miami, that love and swear by it.

Ok, maybe it's not the best, but it is damn good. And cheap.

Go into a Jewel or Osco and you can pick up one of those suitcase things full of them, for less than $20.00.
