That sounds like something they told their wives to help get over the fact that someone else got the job.
They were talking about players the Jets interviewed at the combine.

Why would I battle Flying Elvis? He has a rite to his opinion, I just don't share it at this point. Now if the Jets where to actually, say, draft Cutler at #4, I would be doing back flips while laughing my a$$ off.

In that case, I'd change my mind. A 21 year old kid who's never seen the NFL is definitely a worthy judge of head coaching potential.

Bidding war? I'll give you a box of dooghnuts and a large coffee for Ramsey. Nothing more. Let the fish have him. 5th or 6th round pick. No MORE than that for this guy.

I'd like to see what they'd do in Mangini's position. He took his time and assembled a well balanced coaching staff, that are young and experienced which makes for a good mix. Now he needs to make a decision on Chad and he won't hold back with his decision making process with this situation. Of course, they'll always find something wrong with a team.

I wish they'd give him a chance although they didn't say what they would do. It's easy to criticize but if they were in the same position, they'd be twiddling their thumbs.

Let me get this straight... "flying elvis" read on a message board that "icness" heard from someone who knows "insiders" that Magnini and co seem clueless.

    That's it right?

If Mangini is running the Jets at all like B.B. runs the Pats then get ready for more rumors because thats all the press is going to have to print. There has been a rumor that the Pats were going to trade up, down, and sideways in just about every draft since B.B. came to the Pats. In fact, by draft time you really won't have a clue what they are doing, which is exactly the way it should be.

So the Jets are supposed to let potential draftees know exactly what offseason moves they are planning to make...

I rememebr when I was four and would argue with everything...it was fun..but by the time I was five, it got a little borring...ahhh some people never grow up.

when r scouts supposed to be known?

And Mangini was at the combine.

They could have been in one of the skybox's...

but its interesting how a guy who interviewed for and didnt get the job can say he doesnt know anyone and be viewed as a unbias source.

more stupidity and an attempt to rip about the new regime without a pick or a play being called/made.

    utter stupidity.

I can see y this guy didnt get the job.
