This is said to be just a test run. A sample of what they are going to improve on.

    That CGI test is hot!!!

Unfortunately, Michael Bay is the director so I have a feeling it's going to suck. Going to see it anyway, though.

I'm not much of a fan of his either but this movie is right down his ally.

Transformers and of Voltron. You know I"m there on opening day.I use to have
all the dino bots and the destructacons toys. Who brought up Go bots. In school if you bring a Go bot to school ,you got your ass whip.Man memories

Looks like the image hovering over our planet might be autobot.

But which one ? Could it be Prime?
I had bought all these transformer toys for my son when he was about 5 years old. Now I get to see a movie after all these years ?
This would be movie number two. The original Tranformers had a movie done by Dino DeLaurentis film co if I recall correctly. I actually have that movie. Leonard Nimoy, Orson Wells, Judd Nelson, Robert Stack, and a few others did voices in that movie.

I hope that if this is going to be made its based upon the original series. Though some of the later stuff was kinda cool (ok only Beast Wars was kinda cool), I prefer the original series. Truth be told, this new Transformers Cybertron stuff is actually garbage!!!!!

"Coronation Starscream...? This is bad comedy!"

    "I belong to no body!"
"Perhaps I misjudged you...? Proceed then... ON YOUR WAY TO OBLIVIAN!"

Go-Bots sucked!!!! None of us liked Go-Bots!!!!

Transformers would kick the Go-Bots asses! My mom bought home a Go-Bot once and I asked her kindly to return it and not tell any of my friends mothers that she bought it for me.

    And Voltron? SICK!!!!!

The lions were cool, but the other Voltron, Space Voltron I called him, was better... The best episodes were when Voltron would get that damn blazing sword knocked out of his hands and he could not just slice the Ro-Beast in half!!!!

(Space Voltron was based upon a group of space explorers. Instead of five lions defending one planet there were three teams of explorers based upon a ship that traveled in space... land team, air team, and sea team. Each team had five seperate vehicles, and those vehicles could combine to form three larger land, sea, or air vehicles. Voltron was the conglomeration of all three teams and the three teams vehicles. Still formed a mighty robot named Voltron and still used that damn blazing sword on everything, but space Voltron did a little more actual fighting instead of always using that damn sword and he also used his other weapons more. Had a pair of spinning laser blades that acted like boomerangs which were cool as hell!!!)

Yeah the lions were better, any time the space one came on with all them types of space vehicles it was alright. Geez I remember in school the debates
on which one was better. I mean serious , usually ending with a fight at 3:00.

So, thinking about the original Tramsformers: The Movie.....

....was anyone else just devastated as a kid when the movie started, and they just started capp'in guys left and right?

Death, like real permanent death, in a kids cartoon? Hell, they killed half the originals in the first five minutes, and by movies end 99% of them were dead it seemed. Kinda disturbing as a kid.

you hit the nail on the head fish...in fact optimus prime's death scene still gives me chills after all these years (yes, i watch the old movie fairly regularly)...
