I say we trade him, but we'd need to take on 85% of his contract.

Trade him, he doesn't fit with us. I hope I"m proven wrong at the end of the season. We need youth in the pitching rotation and in the bullpen. We need youth with the hunger to win badly. Not saying AROD isn't hungry .

Aaron Heliman and Victor Diaz for A-Rod.

    Hahahaha

    Reality check Yankee fans...

Unless you pay 90% of his contract, A-Rod is UNTRADEABLE. By far the highest paid player in the game, and getting a little up in years.

I'm not sure if any team would trade a solid young player for him right now, regardless of how much of the tab the Yanks pick up.

Id take arod for that Heilman, Diaz combo...id even pay his salary and take my chances that he actually gets a hit in the playoffs.

Wow. I can't believe you guys want to trade one of the best players in baseball. Not to mention it would be virtually impossible to get a good return and not have to eat most or all of the contract...

You'd be crazy to say no if you could get a solid #1 starting pitcher and a decent outfielder and not have to pay any of his salary.

That being said, none of that is realistic.
