even if the yankees wanted to trade a-rod, they would have to eat far too much of his salary to make any deal cost effective...they are going to have to ride out the storm with him...

and anybody else think that A-Rod curses the union everyday for the fact that they wouldnt let him take the pay cut to go play in boston?

Boston is just as bad as New York in terms of media and fan critisism.

he would have been lead dog in boston and a pivotal member of their championship run (IMHO)...in new york, he's just that guy who thinks he's better than Jeter...

    and BTW, nice avatar...

Arsenal will be back in the chamions league next year, and hopefully win it all this team.

If Boston had won the World Series with A-Rod on their team I agree he might have been seen as a leader/pivotal member of the championship run, in which case the fans would embrace him. On the other hand, the events that took place that year would be nearly impossible to duplicate if you messed with just one position on the field for either team. A-Rod could very well have choked away the series for the Sux and would have been crucified by everyone in Boston. Besides, with everything Ortiz and Shilling did that year, A-Rod might have been regarded as important, but not irreplacable, especially with his salary even if it was reduced.

That is not really true. The Yanks are only on the hook for $15 mil a year. Texas pays the other $10. So if the Yanks ate $2 mil a year over it someone would still be getting a top three player in the league at $13 mil a season. Not that bad.

When he's playing well, A-Rod is certainly top 5, arguably top 3 in the league. The problem is he isn't playing well right now, certainly not up to his normal standards.

You do realize that baseball players that make outs 6 out of 10 times are among the best players in the game?

He is having a bad year. He was the friggin MVP of the league last season. he is only 30 years old. He will still have close to 40 home runs over 100 RBI and will be hitting close to .300.

more like seven out of 10 times. No one has made out six outs of 10 times in over 50 years

Drawing a walk is a very important part of the game. Walks count as not making outs.
