chacon has been traded to pirates for chris wilson.

i dont reallly get this move, but wilson is solid..better than green, younger than cairo

this has nothing to do with cairo or green...Craig Wilson is a 1B / OF who will be a supersub type guy off the bench I would imagine...And Chacon has been very bad this year...So basically it's a low risk high reward deal...Yea..

oh true i was confusing him with the other wilson...the middle infielder.

yeah chacon has been awful, but still, this deal was a surprise

Wilson also had a Pirates' record 12 pinch-hit homers. The kind of guy you want sitting on your bench come October me thinks

I've been wanting to trade for Craig Wilson since the offseason so I'm very happy about this. Put him at 1B instead of Andy Phillips and we have just made a huge upgrade on offense. And we got him for absolutely nothing... Cash completely robbed the Pirates.

I wasn't sure about this trade but now that I read this it sounds pretty good. So does this completely phase Any Philips out, or what?

While I love Andy's Defense, His Bat just hasn't been consistent...Me thinks Phillips goes to the bench and becomes late innings def. sub and Mr. Wilson gets a crack @ 1st base...
