    Hezbollah = Shia

    for those that don't realize

    Hezbollah is a shia organization.

They are supported by Iran - who have a Shia Islamist government

What sort of government rules Iraq?

Why it's a Shia Islamist government of course.

So the US propping up Iraq's failing Shia government is only going to increase support for Hezbollah in the region.

this relationship was reflected when the Prime Minister of Iraq came to washington and refused to disbarage Hezbollah.

fun fact for the day you aren't going to find on the White House website (another fun fact the people running these wars are not thinking about big picture consequences)

I dare any neo-con to reconsile these facts - but i know you can't - more likely you will reply only to personally attack me - if you have the guts to reply at all.

In the long run it's very possible we may have been safer with Saddam's secular Iraq than the new Shia government.

There is no doubt that our invasion of Iraq his increased the power of Shia's all over the Middle East. Iran's influence over the area has grown and they were the one's who instigated Hezbollah to kidnap the Israeli soldiers to take the world's attention off of their nuclear program, and to show the world that they are capable of causing lots of trouble.

Let's not forget though that Sunnis are not exactly saints. They have their terrorist groups also like Hamas and Al Queda. Yasir Arafat was also a Sunni.

About the only thing Sunnis and Shias agree on is hatred of Jews and Americans.

So what you are saying is that all Shia Muslims are terrorists? That doesn't sound like your type of argument bit.

im not saying that - but what's the alternative? We like some shia but we don't like others? These people all believe in the same stuff ya know.

    What are we left with?

Worst case scenario Iraq civil war - Best case scenario we have created Iran part II.

    It's a lose/lose

The only way that happens is if democrats regain control of congress and they also regain control of the military.

    Then we all "lose/lose".

so you are cool with the fact that the new Iraqi Prime Minister plays golf with Hezbollah ? a government we created?

I don't think the democrats are necessarily any better but they can't be worse.

Liking them or not really isn't at issue. At issue is are they willing to freely practice their religion and allow others to do the same? I actually have friends who practice other faith than my own. Amazingly while we differ on faith we can still interact peacefully.

    Iraq is majority Shia
So they shouldnt be running their own country?

    Neither is Libya

let's be honest both of these places were hardly threats prior to the war

talk to me about Saudi, Pakistan, Iran, North Korea - ok these places are threats

Iraq was in shambles when we got there. It was a joke not a threat.

    ?
whats that got to do with the price of couscous

1st Al Qaeda is a shadowy no-nation yet pan-national army
Now its the kingdom of Saudi Arabia who committed atrocities on 9-11?

Did Saudi Arabia fight us during & after GW 1
    (psst, Iraq)
Did Saudi Arabia assist in the bombing of WTC in 93
    (hint: Iraq)
Was it Saudi Arabia who tried to murder GHW Bush
    (clue: Iraq)
What country did Dems clamor for and demand regime change
    (shh, it was Iraq)

Did Saudi Arabia do all this?

If 9-11 is merely a crime and not an atrocity
who had the motive, lt clouseau/columbo?
Prince bandar? Musharraf? Bush? The Mossad?

(ps- anyone who believes in an American 5th column is officially off their rocker - it's called freedom of the press you should read the constitution sometime, it's good for more things than toilet paper)
