    they most certainly dont suck...they have a ton of young talent, including one of the best hitters in the game today (Cabrera)...players like hanley ramirez and uggala are only going to get better, and so is that team...

    It the Mets lose, they'll have the same amount of wins as the Yankees. Someone's going to be losing some Omaha steaks at the end of the season.

    Agreed... and if their rookie pitchers keep pitching next year like they did this year, the Marlins will be in contention next year. They'd be in contention this year, if they didn't get off to that horrendous start. They're a good bet for the wildcard.

    They will be a good team next year and in the future if those pitchers keep pitching the way they are this year. 3 rookie pitchers with 9 wins each !!

    Actually, since the Marlins got off to that horrible 11-31 start, they have been 40-26 (in the same period, the Mets have been 38-26).

    They have pulled within 4.5 games in an admittedly crowded Wildcard race.

    If they ever got in, they could prove tough in October.
