I didn't hear that, but just turned it on. Maine's not a bad compromise, in fact with our bullpen, all the starters should be on a short leash.

guys this is playoff baseball there are rest days all the time so our bullpend will get plenty of rest even if they have to pitch 4 innings a game.

Yep, it's so. Freaky luck for Orlando. We'll be alright with the rook.

You have to find out some time. If he's good he'll never have to ride another bus in the minors. He's already done more than anyone expected.

Not confirmed, but from the Mets site...
Perez's presence on the roster and the Mets' shortage of starting pitchers makes a start by the erratic, 25-year-old former Pirates hurler a possibility. It is doubtful he will pitch in relief, because the club also opted to carry Royce Ring, a left-handed reliever
I think we'll only see him in garbage time. JMO.

    Thanks for the update Jumba...

Why are we carrying Ring ?? I don't know why, but just don't trust him.

The ticker on ESPN just said El Duque out for the postseason... (Although this series will be the entire postseason for the Mets)

Hopefully we won't get into any situations where we ask to much of him. Simply put, he's a reliever, Perez is not. He's used to warming up on short notice. If Royce scares you, you must have nightmares about Oliver.
