Small plane and/or helicopter crashed into the 18th floor of a 22 floor high rise apartment building on East 72nd Street and York Avenue. That's right across the street from the Hospital for Special Surgery, it must a be a mess down there.

Reports are coming in that several apartments in the building are on fire - the FDR Highway and surrounding streets have been shut down for emergency vehicles and personnel only.

I really hope no one is hurt, or worse.

No significant targets there. Its most likely a commuter helicopter.

No worries Locke. NORAD has just deployed aircraft to patrol major US cities for preventive measures.
