are all repubs grunts...or just Streisand repubs?

Concertgoer pelts Babs with beverageMiami Herald Staff Report
Barbra Streisand's politics didn't find a wholly agreeable crowd during her Monday concert at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise.

As Babs traded political barbs with a George W. Bush imitator, a fan of the songstress who apparently disagreed with her politics pelted her with a beverage. And as her anti-GOP riff ended, another man in the crowd found himself being escorted out of the center as he shouted at Streisand.

Lol, as if we've never seen this the other way round, eh? Assault is never acceptable, no matter which "side' is being assulted. But frankly, it's about time entertainers stopped treating their concerts as political ad campaigns. Most folks listen to musicians for their music, not their politics.

People including entertainers have every right to say what they want. This is America, not Afghanistan. If you dont want to listen to them, then dont go to their concert. You know which entertainers are political and which arenot.

As far as singers being political, this is nothing new. Songs about current events and with political undertones have been written since the begining of time. Barbara Streisand is no less or more qualified to give her political opinion than someone like Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. So if you dont like what she has to say, dont listen. But she has every right to express her opinions. Last time i checked, we as americans still have this right.

Agreed, to a point. Truth is, you're right, an "artist" has the right to put on whatever kind of show they like, I would never favor taking away their RIGHTS. But I do favor them shutting up (on both sides).

Look, as a music obsessive, I go to hear great music. When an artist starts wasting an hour of their 2 hour show on George Bush, wtf, what about this somg or that song. I paid for songs, not politics. And so did 99.9 % of the audience. So provide the service you're selling, not the side-o-politics bait-and-switch you think you're selling.

And actually, Babs is far less qualified to speak on politics than Rush or his Leftist equivalent. As part of their jobs, they are educated on politics and sociology. I.e. they SELL Political talk. Babs sells bad songs. To try and say they are equal is assinine bro, sorry. The differences are obvious.

And again, this type of assult is done by both sides, and both should stop doing it, it is not productive.

And she also has to deal with the publics right to ***** about her and boycott her ala Dixie Chicks.

I find it funny though that she has no problem pulling this in a staged / scripted show. That ***** hasn't given a real interview in like a hundred years. I would love to see her trade barbs with a real person in a real debate. I would pay for Babs vs. Coulter debate. It would make Babs cry I am sure.

Difficult to say, but I have more respect for the Dixie Chicks for at least taking interviews and being able to try and support their positions in a manner that is not part of a scripted act. Good for them. F Babs, that hook-nosed skank is a marginal entertainer at best anyway.

Never mind her politics, keep chucking drinks at her, maybe she'll stop singing.
