    JOHN KERRY said . . .

Kerry then told the students that if they were able to navigate the education system, they could get comfortable jobs - "If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq," he said to a mixture of laughter and gasps.

This man continues to put his foot in his mouth. A very unfortunate statement. If Kerry runs in '08 he will shoot himself in the foot with dumb comments like this

The voice of the democratic party speaks.

The support to our men and women in uniform is just overwhelming, isn't it?

Unfortunate consequences for his image perhaps, but the statement itself is his honest sentiment. He was speaking from the heart. LOL.

at least he didn't put them into a war they couldn't win and sit idley by as they die for no reason

the blood of these troops is on the hands of your man Bush - not Kerry

Is anyone listening to his press conference right now? If so, you know what is wrong with the democratic party, if he is their leadership. For this year's elections, playing the role of Bin Ladin, is John Kerry.

Anyone remember those "not the time to dial 'zero'" commercials? Kerry, somehow, dialed zero.

And he could have mitigated fallout with an immediate apology. Instead, he's digging deeper with attacks on Bush (!) and not addressing his own stupidity. Is Rove paying this guy or what?

the amazing thing is he's coming out now and saying his statement was a joke about the President...to an extent I could see that....

but one of the main reasons kerri refused to submit the SF180 and release his military records was they showed his grades at Yale were worse then GWB's!!!

So what does this "intended" joke say about jean "D-student" kerri....

he's a schmuck..But at least he served his country..That's more than 99% of the people on this board or the 3 chicken hawks who "lead" this country can say.

Went looking for this news, CBTNY...went to AP News. Part of what I do is news aggregation, or online news editing. AP has their stories ordered subjectively, in order of importance. #'s 1,2,3 well, fine. You can say those issues are more important (though, it's a tough sell when Kerry's emergency press conference is burning up the blogosphere) but look at #4, an older story that trumps Kerry's incendiary quote and its ensuing aftermath.

What happens now has many precedents. The mainstream outlets ignore Kerry's remark until bloggers will make them confront this, ala Swiftboats. Denying Kerry's ten seconds only empowers those words he can't take back. Now, for me, "sackdance", I hope the GOPers make the most of this gift from Kerry, truly the Republican October suprise.

you loony liberals, led by your master loony himself bitonti continue to amaze me. Your voice, your man, your icon of the Democratic Party comes out and insults the US Military as a whole and it's no big deal? His statement has nothing to do with the war, nothing to do with politics, it was Kerry letting his true self slip out in a moment of stupidity. Mel Gibson gets drunk and goes off on jews and you skin him alive, Kerry comes out and calls everyone in uniform uneducated and it's ok, it was from the heart.

None of you ass clown liberals have a clue what you're talking about because not one of you has served a day in uniform. yet you are all experts on the military?

I have a former NCO of mine that serving over there working on his Ph.D. right now, how many of you a-holes got one of those?

Keep living in your dream world.
