    More job growth

    In October, total employment increased by 437,000 to 145.3 million, and the employment-population ratio edged up to 63.3 percent. The civilian labor force, at 152.0 million, was about unchanged in October;

    That means 11.8 million jobs have been created since the end of the Clinton Recession in Jan '02.

    can someone explain why the American Dollar was worth about $1.50 in Canadian back in 2000 now it is worth $1.10

    Deflation.

    Go to Europe. The dollar's exchange rate is much worse there.

    Deflation in Canada? Maybe with commodities after the recent run-up

    There's no doubt the dollar is weakening overall
