TWISTED SISTER Frontman: 'Christmas' Album 'Might Have Actually Revived Us' - Nov. 30, 2006
Trevor Fisher of IllinoisEntertainer.com recently conducted an interview with TWISTED SISTER frontman Dee Snider. A few excerpts from the chat follow:
IllinoisEntertainer.com: So "A Twisted Christmas", this is it? The final chapter of TWISTED SISTER?
Dee Snider: Not so fast [laughing]. I was saying it was the final chapter and the last nail in the coffins of our career, but as it turned out it might have actually revived us! Dude, we've shipped more units of this CD to all the major chains than anything we've done since the '80s. We're getting more press coverage, more attention, MySpace is getting tens of thousands of spins, we're doing "Leno" for the first time, we're doing halftime at the Jets football game on December 10th; it's like, "Are you ****ing kidding me?"
Twisted Sister rocks period! These guys are NY legends. They were stalwarts of the tri-state club scene decades ago, made it big in the mid 80's and then became kind of a joke. They re-united for a special fund raiser concert after 9-11 and toured last year. Better than ever....great halftime show.

I agree. Its better to see these guys play for real then say watching Destinys Child lipsync a medley of 4 overplayed songs.

If i remember right, they had people take shots of tequila and then sing sweet jane with them
too many brain cells ago for me to remember that...Sweet Jane off Rock & Roll Animal by Lou Reed is one of my favorite tunes though
Right before I left the house (Age 15) to walk to see Twister Sister in my home town Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
We lost power, Continued walking thinking nothing of it to the show come to find out
during their sound check at the Leroy Theater, TS Blew The whole city's
I went to see them once out east.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE BAND
They looked like drag queens and yelled FU to the audience in between songs.
The singing sucked, the guitar playing sucked the drumming sucked, etc....
