We were his 2nd choice but it doesn't matter, we need him in the rotation

Don't care what choice we were if he can get us double digit wins and pitch competitively again. Glad to have him back.

Sign Zito and call it an offseason, hopefully Pedro will be back in the 2nd half.

You think him going to TX talk is a smokescreen for us to give more $$?

Zito is going to be a Met, I'd bet a lot of $$$ on that.

Omar isn't going to go into the season with Glavine as the ace, guaranteed.

Jason Jennings isn't that good that you give up top prospects for him.

    Just give Zito the cash.

How about both? Can we get Jennings without giving top prospects or is that what it would take?

In this market it would take top prospects to get any pitcher that is a better option thatn what we have.

1/11 MM for Glavine, basically we paid him what his option would have been with the buyout.

I agree we will sign another pitcher (we virtually have no choice), and I also think it will be Zito.

Hopefully the $3M buyout is part of the $11M. Can't see paying $14M for a 42 year old who only pitches good for 1/2 a season and we were the only team willing to pay him.

Who cares how much Fred Wilpon wants to pay him, you really thin 1 or 2 million is going to make a difference of if we sign a big FA or not.

BTW, the buyout was already payed, the contract is 1/11.
