James Brown getting more press than Gerald Ford

Anyone else notice that the death of James Brown seems to be getting more coverage than the death of our former President, Gerald Ford?

Yeah, I noticed that too. Ford had an untimely death.

Dead Cultural and Racial Icon vs. Very Average Uninteresting President, who was never even elected, and pretty much was just a career Politico State guy who was in the right places and the right times.

Why would you think it any other way?

And personally, I see the ex-Pres getting more Pub, so eh?

While I respect the former PResident, James Brown was more influential a figure, in the big scheme of things.

The man himself may have made some mistakes but the music was a cultural wonder of the world. Without James Brown there is no hip hop, and almost everything soulful and funky in between.

They both may have no soul at this point.

One was active in a cult, the other was active in a crack house.
