    Betrayal of the Big Easy

This Bush admin abandons its citizens in the USA while spending billiions on failed war campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Dr Courtney Cowart, who runs the Diocese of Louisiana's disaster relief team, escaped from the shadow of the World Trade Centre on 9/11. She cannot help but compare the government's response to both tragedies, noting that nothing like the financial commitment made to New York is being offered to New Orleans. The Big Easy, disliked by conservatives because of its reputation for debauchery, is in danger of being ignored.

Why do you always think people should be getting free money? There's no such thing as a free lunch.

Oh, and p.s., there's still a gaping hole in Downtown Manhattan. Yeah, the government has been real quick in solving that problem.

P.P.S. People in Louisiana knew a Cat. 5 storm was on its way for at least 4 days. The only warning the folks got in NY was the high-pitched squeel of jet engines that sounded too close to the ground.

this is an ironic sarcastic comment but there is historical precident

the levees actually were blown up twice before in the history of the city - it's a proven fact

besides the fact there was a 25 foot crater found under the breach in the ninth ward - people near the levees heard an explosion, which was explained by officials as a either water crashing over or a transformer blowing - only problem with that last story is that the power had been out for over 24 hours.

louis farrakkan put forth this theory, which of course, no matter how true or false it may be will marginalize it completely.

So do you believe the Levees were destroyed on purpose Bit?

    Yes or No.

honestly im not sure - but if they were it was an economic not a racial decision

the last couple times this happened the unfortunate victims were poor whites

there could have been purple people living in the 9th ward, the people of new orleans have proven that they will flood lower lying areas to preserve the historical districts.
