Rich don't get rich by success, they get rich by lying, cheating, stealing and inheritance,, thank god the Democrats are going to do something about it,, I think the damage Bush and friends did to the USA is irreversible,, but lets hope the Dems can do something about it..

Strange that you consider someone paying their fair share punishment.

people can make money while creating, selling, performing or fabricating a valid, functional product or service that they can be proud of without any ethical conflict

has that ever occurred to you

historically this country has had it's most dynamic periods of economic growt when the Presidential office and congress were controlled by different parties.

obviously not, it's much easier to work your ass off and then complain about "the man".

In a global economy, it would seem irrevelant what American party is in power
yet they are crucial in shaping long term economic strategy.

It can safely be said that the period where liberal Democrats ran everything and skewed us towards socialism screwed the USA economically down to the earths core, i. e. the Carter years. Kennedy actually lowered
    federal taxes.

The 2 years Clinton had with a Democrat Congress were rather
blah, trying to ease out of recession and unremarkable, with higher taxes
the only real "achievement", yet Clinton was more of a centrist/triangulator and did not abandon all of the predecessor policies, kept Greenspan, etc

(his wife was/is the hardcore Commie who tried to f up our health system
    and thankfully failed)

Clinton is apragmatist with no morals, ethincs or backbone. you are right, Hillary is the commi.

But when you make such idiotic comments about how the rich get rich, it makes yuo look wrong all of the time.

Now the Kennedy's... clearly they were criminals. But a hardworking guy who puts himself through school and makes a few million - nothing is corrupt about that.

Now once the guy gets a lot of money, power follows. And very few men are not corrupted by power. And fyi, the corruption transcends both parties.

    Come again?
My post wasnt a dissertation on politics or economics,
or discussing about how the rich get rich or richer.
So, back off a bit with the "idiotic" jazz.

(I'm not rich, but I'm certainly not envious of the
truly well to do-class warfare is only of interest to
the lazy, unskilled, fanatic Marxists among us)

It was just a response to a claim that when federal power is divided (ie one branch of govt GOP, another Dem)
we enjoy our best periods of dynamic economic growth.

To libs, you'd think the last 5 years was another Great Depression,
thats what they always say when theyre on the outside looking in.

That division of power in and of itself is no justification for anything, but
some people think that is "fair" and leads to moderation,
compromise and consensus towards moderation, the center,
and the best decisions for the country.

IMO, every configuration of the US
govt is different, and any party has the opportunity
to succeed or fail, but the worst situation to me was the
Carter era where Democrats ran it all,
the worst economy in my lifetime among
many other very poor decisions, some of which stiill affect us
    today in an adverse manner.

That's it. Nothing about any cause and effect of anything
    and who's rich or not.

The Democrats have only been in control of Congress for about 2
weeks, and unless they get some radical legislation enacted
they wont have any economic impact until October, when the all-GOP
budget ends. So they can take whatever credit they want to until
then for deficit reduction, inflation, the dollar, etc. but they
    won't merit it.
