GWB war "stories"

Already, the Kay Report identified dozens of weapons of mass destruction-related program activities and significant amounts of equipment that Iraq concealed from the United Nations. Had we failed to act, the dictatator's weapons of mass destruction programs would continue to this day.

When chief weapons inspector David Kay bluntly told the senate there were, in fact, no WMDs, he forced a humiliating U-turn in Washington and London. Now, in his first newspaper interview, he tells Julian Borger that the president must admit he got it wrong

For all who love freedom and peace, the world without Saddam Hussein's regime is a better and safer place.

Our generational commitment to the advance of freedom, especially in the Middle East, is now being tested and honored in Iraq. That country is a vital front in the war on terror, which is why the terrorists have chosen to make a stand there. Our men and women in uniform are fighting terrorists in Iraq, so we do not have to face them here at home. (Applause.) And the victory of freedom in Iraq will strengthen a new ally in the war on terror, inspire democratic reformers from Damascus to Tehran, bring more hope and progress to a troubled region, and thereby lift a terrible threat from the lives of our children and grandchildren.

    Deficit Hits New Record

We're on the offensive in Iraq, with a clear plan for victory. First, we're helping Iraqis build an inclusive government, so that old resentments will be eased and the insurgency will be marginalized.

Second, we're continuing reconstruction efforts, and helping the Iraqi government to fight corruption and build a modern economy, so all Iraqis can experience the benefits of freedom. And, third, we're striking terrorist targets while we train Iraqi forces that are increasingly capable of defeating the enemy.

The road of victory is the road that will take our troops home. As we make progress on the ground, and Iraqi forces increasingly take the lead, we should be able to further decrease our troop levels---but those decisions will be made by our military commanders, not by politicians in Washington, D.C. Since we all know you didn't do this research yourself, why not at the very least cite the source you snagged, copied and pasted it all from?

that doesn't make it any less damning, does it?

I'm not judging the information, or the individual sources contained within. How damning it is or isn't wasn't my point.

It simply bothers me when someone cuts whole swaths of someone elses work, and posts it without due credit, as if it were their own work. .

If Dawgg did indeed put all this together, great for him. If not, he should credit his source.

Isn't it enough work to show how much a disaster this president is? How he can't keep his stories straight.

The threads are what they are. The information is relative. I got this is an email this AM

My point is how damning this information is.

The sources are "sited" and the truth speaks for itself.

Pet peeve my friend. We all have them. Having someones work taken and reused without permission and without proper sourcing is one of mine.

As I said, I was clear that I wasn't commenting on content. As Dawgg says, the content speaks well enough for itself, right? Quotes and quote sources.

He reluctantly named his source for the piece. Or what he claims is his source...... Good enough for me.

    Please continue the Bush-bash.

I bet you could retrofit quotes throughout the course of WWII to fit whatever agenda you'd like to as well.

    Damning?

    Hardly.

"Getting it wrong" (quote from your snippet) and "Lying" aren't even in the same zip code.

    Basic comprehension eludes you.
