DEMOCRAT Biden view of African-Americans...

"...you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy'..."

Is it rare to get an articulate, bright, clean and nice looking African-American in America? Wonder what former klansmen robert byrd thinks of barrack hussein obama.

Yep, that democrat party, no racism or hypocracy there.

Please post the entire article or whatever you are getting this quote from. It's tough to comment on this without knowing the context under which it was stated.

I like Biden. But he had no chance anyway.

I like an Obama/Richardson ticket..OR, an actual Unifying ticket of Obama/Hegel.

    LOL.

He's nice and clean despite being black! Gotta love Honest Joe.

Democrats can say and believe whatever they want, they get the free pass. See our beloved West Virginia Sen. Robert Byrd, for instance. He used to be in the KKK. Here's what he said in March 2001:"Robert, you can't go to heaven if you hate anybody.' We practice that. There are white niggers. I've seen a lot of white niggers in my time. I'm going to use that word. We just need to work together to make our country a better country, and I'd just as soon quit talking about it so much."

Some people claim with a straight face that the media favors conservatives. Amazing. Democrats just say and do whatever they want - they don't have to worry. Their ugliness is forgiven.

What he said is definitely wrong, no matter what the circumstances. Knowing the context can help in determining whether he said it in a condescending and derogatory manner or whether it simply came out wrong.

He has publicly apologized to Obama about the comments.

    it is so freggin true...
Biden, though, managed to draw some attention to Obama himself, with an awkwardly phrase comment — quoted in the New York Observer newspaper — about Obama’s effort to become the first president of African-American heritage.

“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” Biden said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

Asking about the comment Wednesday during a conference call with reporters concerning his own presidential candidacy announcement, Biden responded with praise of Obama that might have been taken for an endorsement were Biden not running for president himself.

Were this the President or Cheney to say something like this they be all over them....just another example of double standard liberal bias in the media...

Even though Biden is a jack*ss for saying it and Weeb is right, the democrats get away with it even though they shouldn't, the statement does have an ounce of truth to it.

African Americans, especially African American males, could use a great role model.

With the thug culture crap we see everyday on TV, there is no doubt that Obama, if elected President, would be an excellent role model for young African Americans.

The whole Obama situation is funny too. Even the Daily Show is ripping it. This from a program dedicated to ripping the right. They make jokes because it really does look like the media portrays Obama as the second coming of Christ. And they're right to laugh, Obama hasn't done sh*t yet. No doubt he's articulate and intelligent, but we don't know anything else about him.

But what encourages me about the next election is the quality of the candidates. While I'm leaning towards McCain, I can't say I'm not intrigued by the field so far. You've got Obama, Hillary, Rudy and Edwards along with McCain. Those are the front runners it would seem, and all appear to be both intelligent and capable.

It should be interesting to see what they have to say for themselves. I'm looking forward to the 2008 electoral process.

Thank God the days of Bush Jr., Gore and Kerry running for President are over.

Maybe he just meant presidential candidates. And when you compare Obama to guys like this:

The funny thing is that the same morning he made those comments, he officially submitted papers necessary to start a presidential campaign.
