Here I Was, All Happy About The Thomas Jones Trade And Then....

....I remembered that we can't run block and our QB can't throw the long ball to pull those LB's off the line.

Oh well. Was nice while it lasted.

    SAR by a longshot.

SAR is stupid intentionally. For TX it comes natural.

And the team we are chasing signed the best OLBer in free agency to bolster their defense.

1 step forward and 2 steps back.

Not stupid. Think about it logically. Defenses shut down Curtis Martin in his prime with a better OL than we have now because of Chad's short arm, remember? 11 in the box, dare Chad to beat them, take out the RB, remember? So how is this year going to be any different?

Beginning to wonder if SAR is even a Jets fan.

Get over the emotion and answer the question:

Whaaa? The last full season Martin and Pennington played together Martin led the freakin' league in rushing.

See what I mean? SAR is being intentionally stupid.

Would that include the year that Curtis led the league in rushing and made Shaun Alexander cry like a baby?

Okay, I feel a bit better now. But tell me, is the '07 offensive line as good as the '04 offensive line was? I think not.

You mean the year Chad tore he's shoulder but played anyway and we never used more than 2 WR in a pattern so we could match up and run against a stacked box.

If we sign a RT it could be better.

Come to think of it, that was 2 coaches, 2 surgeries, 2 offseason rehabs, and 2 years ago.

I don't feel as good now.

    The 2007 season started?!?!

    I didn't know that.

Our offensive line is filled with veterans who are at the tail end of their career... ****. It's not like we just drafted them last year, and they'll improve each successive year.

Yes, and Martin gained 1697 yards.
