    NY Rangers Playoff Hockey

What a great first period. The rangers look really good despite the BS penalty that set up the Thrasher goal.

    Let's Go Rangers!!!

I know. There is nothing I fear more than a 2 goal lead!

They are a lot faster than us, we need to hit them hard and often.

All we have to do is play some more defense. Tough around the boards. Hit more and stay out the box.

Big win on the road. But I will say this:

    1) There is no reason to have Colton Orr in the lineup. I know he's in there to protect against liberties toward Jagr et al. However, he's not a big hitter and the Thrashers are hitting the crap out of the Rangers. I believe Hollweg needs to be and will be in the lineup Saturday.

    2) The Rangers D needs to STOP those little back passes behind their own net. The Thrashers are reading them and waiting for them. They scored 2 goals as a result. Get the puck up the boards!

    3) The Rangers were terribly outhit. Avery, Betts,Ortmeyer and the entire D did very little in that area. I expect to see more hitting on the part of the Rangers moving forward. Hollweg will lead by example. If not, the Rangers will be spent and have no legs by the second round if they get that far.

    4) Lundqvist was good but not great. He was obviously not 100% as I didn't expect him to be having suffered cold and flu symptoms the last few days. Hopefully, he's over it and will have 100% strength and stamina back by Saturday.

    5) Nylander was awesome tonight.
