He 's better than Schoenweis or Heilmann right now. Our bullpen needs help.

Im glad Willie left him in....let him fix his own mess.

if he's going to walk the bases loaded, at least he did it in a 5 run game.

Burgos hasn't been too bad so far. The run he gave up against the Braves really wasn't his fault as Green should have caught that ball, and other then that he's only given up a 3 run Home Run to Ryan Howard. I have to admit, I've been pleasantly suprised so far with him.

You do realize that our Bullpen has an ERA of 1.72 this season, right?

Also, I think Schoeneweis is getting alot of unfair blame here, he has an ERA of 2.70 this season, and up until 2 days ago didn't allow a single run to cross home plate. Granted he lets more baserunners on then I want to see, but they haven't been crossing home plate.

I agree that Heilman is a concern though, as he's gotten beat up by the Braves twice now (Granted the one set was unearned runs, but they count the same towards the scoreboard), and he doesn't seem to be effective after maybe the first 2 batters he faces. I know he's got his arm issues and that might be the cause of it, but he needs to get healthy and pitch better and fast.

His last outing was horrendous and he was awful last year. I'm just worried about seeing more of the same. A reliever's ERA isn't a true indication, especially the middle guys who often inherit runners.

32 games till Mota comes back and Sanchez is hopeful he'll play this year but I'll believe that when I see it.

Considering we have the best bullpen ERA in baseball, I think you're making too much of a big deal about it. Yeah, they blew 2 games against Atlanta, but the bad outings are bound to come at some point, we just gotta hope from now on it's against somebody like Washington instead of a divisional rival like Atlanta. Tonight our Pen was pretty good throwing 5 innings and only allowing that one run, and Heilman and Schoeneweis who you were critical of managed to go 7 up and 7 down.
