for this team I felt the first win would be the hardest.

now that we have the first win, I think you'll see a different series, so i'm not worried at all, yet.

Langy needs to shoot first. He could've won that game much earlier.

He's been doing that a lot lately, he did it almost all of last season, which is why he didn't have a big season. When he shoots, he really shines.

This looks like it has been a heck of a defensive showcase so far...first goal just coming now? I wish I had been home to see it!

Grieving...that was a tough game to lose...hard fought down to the bitter end...Both teams grinded, but that was one HELL of a shot that scored the first goal...

The Devil fans I know were all complaining and saying that it was cheap because the guy bumped into Brodeur. I didn't see it though.

It should have been interference. Bad non-call (Ranger fan here)

Absolutely. A blatant interference at that....But that is the way the refs have been...call the bullspit penalties and miss the blatant ones...

Tough loss but no reason we can't come back and win tomorrow and take back home ice.

Seemingly but I would keep this in mind. EVERYTIME the Devils won the cup they trailed a series 3-1. Im gonna check this fact now.

They always find a way to wake up, but this may be different. This is the first time in recent memory a team has spent so much time in our end. Our defensemen used to be great at pinching the corners and keeping the puck in the offensive zone. Now they either aren't in postion, or look silly with the stick. Elias looks exhausted and weak. This would be a monumental comeback. If they don't at least tie it, for once Lou is the goat.

I agree..this is the first time in memory that Marty is just hurting his team by letting in these weird angle shots through the 5 hole, and these soft goals...

Very true, he definitely has not been on top of his game throughout the whole playoffs. He has been very inconsistent. Devs probably won't come back but I wouldn't be totally shocked if they did. Game 6 will be the toughest if the series even goes that far.

That is true, but this team doesn't seem like the team's that have won the cup in the past.
