    Doubt it..

    Hobson, Harris, Vilma, Barton

Kassel's the odd man out on the inside.

you know, i think the jets are doign this on purpose, with having all the starters come back, and only losing Askew this year, no roster spots really opened up, and having money from the Offseason, we are trading our picks this year for Players that will come in and make a big impact, were not stocking picks and then having them sit or cut were getting guys who are going to come in and play, due to the lack of spots on out roster, because we retained out FA's.

Honestly, I wouldn't complain if we did put him in a smart trade.

Still, that "smart trade" would have been a 1st or a second from some 4-3/Cover 2 team.

Trading Vilma at this point in the day, based upon the fact that we can't get a 2007 1st for him (obviously) and the fact that we have come out ahead in all our deals today... would basically net us at least a late 2nd this year, a 2008 1st and maybe a 2007 3rd or 4th... I love Vilma, but if we could get these types of picks in exchange for Vilma I would say go for it.

    Not now

We're halfway through round 2 and if Vilma was going to be traded it would've happened already.

I doubt team Tangini would accept less than a mid-late 1st rounder for Vilma.

For what? Some day 2 picks? And why would we create another hole in our defense when we just fixed it?

My guess is Vilma stays on the team and moves to OLB when Harris is on the field.

Hey you want to get rid of Vilma. I give Raiders third rounder for Vilma. Lb is not a need but you can always find a place for him on your defense in 4-3.

if you thought vilma was undersized for ILB in the 3-4, he would be extremely undersized as a 3-4 OLB

it's a reasonable question. Vilma only has two years left on his deal. This defense is not well-suited for him. I doubt he will be resigned.

At the same time, Hobson has ability to move inside with Harris, and you have Schlegel for depth. Add to that the fact there are some good prospects left who project to the outside, I wouldn't be opposed to a trade.
