Gold Cup 07 Team USA vrs Trinidad and Tobago

Well its about an hour and 45 mins away boys and girls. Our boys in red, white, and blue won game 1 by a count of 1-0. That game could have easily been 4-1 in favor of the USA IMO, if all teams capitalized on their scoring chances. Today look foward to see some young player to continue to emerge.... Taylor Twellman, Eddie Johnson, Frankie Hejduk, and Tim Howard.

Those are the four that I want to focus on Twellman the skill he has to score the ball is to obvious, in the 1st game of the cup we saw him get some chances but couldn't put them away, this guy should be on this squad for many many years to come.

Eddie Johnson.......... anyone who has ever followed this guy at all knows he has ALL the tools to be a great international striker but it has never panned out for him in international play. In the MLS this year( and every year) Eddie is a force up front. International play Eddie has never really got into his groove, lets hope Bradley gives him a lil more playing time than he saw in the Guatamala game.

Frankie H- Coming off a major injury was slated as the starting SB for the WORLD CUP before he was hurt. Welcome back frankie your skill was missed back there.

Howard- Will replace Kasey Keller one day as the full time keeper for the USA. Usually brilliant in goal.

Enjoy the game folks, and AOK USA!!! lets take this one!

Twellman is really exciting to watch with New England, he does such a great job making space to set up his great shot. Eddie Johnson had a hat trick against Red Bull a week ago and along with Angel is the MLS MVP so I expect to see improvement from Johnson.

Eddie is the MVP of the MLS hands down right now, hes really gonna have to stop producing for Angel to overtake him in that running, IMO. As far as Twellman you are spot on, kid has something special.

Not with Beckham playing the way he is and coming over to play . MLS is about to kick it up a notch. Eddie would be in Europe by now if he was going? hes been around a while.

Anyway lineup has been shaken up for tonights game, Eddie Johnson gets the start! Time for him to make his international coming out party at the expense of Trinidad and Tobago? I hope so.....

Alot of youngsters playing, Brian Ching the other striker along side Eddie will be looking to make his big splash.

Feilhaber has already made his splash in the 1st game of the gold cup(only bright spot), he will be giving Ching and Johnson their chances no doubt bout that.

    Kellers back.......... world class.
