Bill Clinton also says Libby pardon a farce...(you can't make this sh!t up)
Bill Clinton also says Libby pardon a farce
July 5, 2007

Des Moines, Iowa - Former President Bill Clinton says President Bush's decision to spare ex-White House aide Lewis "Scooter" Libby from prison differed from his own administration's pardon controversy.

"You've got to understand, this is consistent with their philosophy," Clinton said during an interview on Des Moines news-talk station WHO. Bush administration officials, he said, "believe that they should be able to do what they want to do, and that the law is a minor obstacle."

"It's wrong to out that C.I.A. agent and wrong to try to cover it up," Mr. Clinton added. "And no one was ever fired from the White House for doing it."

President Bush on Monday commuted Libby's 30-month sentence for perjury, obstruction of justice and lying to federal agents investigating the 2003 exposure of former CIA operative Valerie Plame Wilson. Bush's order let the verdicts stand, but he called Libby's prison sentence "excessive" and eliminated it completely.

Clinton's wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, is now seeking the presidency and has been campaigning in Iowa during the Independence Day holiday. She put him on the phone during a Tuesday interview with Iowa political columnist David Yepsen.

Clinton is in no position to be commenting on this. This is pure hypocrisy on his part.

Yet more hypocrisy from the left....

Billy Blue dress lecturing on the Libby "pardon" is the equivalent of algore lecturing people for consuming to much electricty.

Besides, Plame wasn't covert, so her identity wasn't classified, so it's impossible to out her.

There was no cover up. Fitzgerald, knew well before he questioned Scooter Libby that Richard Armitage was the one who gave her specifics to the media.

Yes Bill is a hypocrite.
But sorry, you are dead wrong about Plame. She WAS covert. This was confirmed by her colleagues and her superiors.

Even funnier, guess who Rich's lawyer was that helped get his pardon?

Pro Wrestling has almost as much credibility as our political system. I'm waiting for a Pearl Harbor attack by Obama and Dean on the Cheney/Bush tag team. Cheney's been known to wield a good chair, and never count out George's patented figure "W" leg lock. The dems would seemingly have the upper hand, but never underestimate the power of the dems to blow a sure win (see 2004 elections).

Exactly, that's why I put pardon in parenthesis.

His sentence was commuted, not pardoned.

Okay, let's say she was in deep secret-agent mode. Richard Arbitage was the leaker. What does this have to do with a White House cover up? With Bush? Rove? Libby?

If we should be so concerned with the investigation, why is the source of the leak ignored and forgotten?
