    Yankees @ Blue Jays

Blue Jays threw at A-Rod today. 1st pitch to him. The funny thing is they missed him. He then went on to walk him. Idiots.

Robby comes through with a go ahead double to score 2 runs.

Melky comes through with a RBI single with 2 outs.

    I love these two!

Sean, at work, 'watching' the game on Fox Game Trax.
Tell me about Brower. I know he has been around the ML for awhile.
Why did they yank Andy after 5 2/3? Pitch count crap?Thx.

Andy's pitch count was 114. He was pretty much struggling the whole game. But he found ways out of jams. Gritty performance. And Brower I really don't know much about him. I'm curious as to why they brought him up and not Britton, Edwar, or Jaba.

Nice win for the Yanks....I believe we are tied for the AL wild card now. Good shot at being the top team in the wild card in a few hours

    How sweet!
Man, we get just a little decent pitching and it is another W!!
I admit, I thought we were DOA in June. I didn't stop watching but I didn't hold out much hope.
Thanks for proving me wrong again!!!

A shot at being top of the WC? Yes. Good shot? Justin Verlander (3.49 ERA) vs Edwin Jackson (6.56 ERA). No matter how poor Detroit is playing, I don't consider that a good shot!

Anyways, what a 9th inning. Three very good players with power? No problem, just strike em out!

Robby Cano has defiantly been more patient hitter in the 2nd half. Let me look that up.

Yeah I was correct. In the first half Robby had 15 BB and his OBP was .314. In the 2nd half he already has 9 BB and his OBP is .464.

Melky doubles in his first AB and extends his hitting streak to 13 Games
