Thread: The Jets' defense this year compared to last year: will it be better?

  1. #21
The Jets have definitely upgraded their CB and ILB positions with Revis and Harris. And we're younger and probably more effective at DE with Coleman, Hicks and DeVito. But as long as the heart of the D is DRob and Vilma, teams will just run the ball down our throats. Those two are a significant liability for our rushing defense.

Until Vilma and DRob are benched or traded, I don't anticipate much change in the D this season.
he's a DT. He definitely played great this pre-season, and two of the guys he beat last week were Winston Justice and Max Jean-Gilles. He has no shot to start at DT but he might grab some rotation time from Pouha if he keeps this up. I'm rooting for the guy.
I was just watching Jets Nation on SNY, and they said that he plays DE and DT. I wonder if he gets some time opposite Ellis, rotate with Coleman a bit.
