OT: Would you wear a Rudy Gay jersey?

While I was watching the slam-dunk conetst on Saturday, I was having an argument with a friend of mine about Rudy Gay's jersey. I said that I'm sure no one buys his jersey and that very few Grizzlies fans, if any, would even wear them. He said that if Gay was Micheal Jordan his jersey would be a best seller regardless. Any opinions on this?

If Rudy Gay was Michael Jordan i.e. the #1 athlete in the world, then yes, people would wear it. However, if he was Rudy Gay, no one would wear it.

Nah, wouldn't matter how good he is, most males aren't going to wear a jersey in public that says "Gay" IMO. Your buddies would pummel you relentlessly.

If someone called Rudy Gay a fag, that makes him a gay fag. If you were a gay fag, that means you are actually straight, right?

    Think about it.

That is exactly what I said. No way anyone would wear it.

I don't care what the name says on the back of the jersey for as long as it is a Jets jersey.

Agreed. No normal guy would wear a jersey with Gay on the back without getting lashed even after you get rid of it.

Secure men wouldn't give a sh*t. Worrying about what others think of you is a feminine behavior.

If I was a Rudy Gay fan....I would wear a Rudy Gay jersey.

Anyone got a problem with that? I'll mess you up.

I saw someone wearing a Brady jersey today so I guess some people really don't have a problem with it.

If he was my favorite player, sure. I wouldn't wear it at a homophobic place like a bar because I could get my *ss kicked, but besides that who cares? Women care about what others think of them. Men shouldn't.
