Cuz he may have actually been able to hold on to Eli, preventing the Catch II.

Tough to hold on to the QB when you are always on your ass 7 yards downfield.

We know what happened to the Pats ancient LBs in the SB, the question was about how Vilma would have played in the SB vs. the Giants.

I thought that WINNING the SB was all that mattered to you guys. Amazing how quickly you accept mediocrity.

Because you guys could use a linebacker, and you know very well Vilma is a good linebacker...
Stop stirring the pot to see what will come of it...

You're right, we don't know anything about cheating our way into the SB.

We also don't know anything about acting like complete jacksasses on other team's message boards, spewing garbage like, "winning championships is all that counts" only to look like complete fools by accepting a SB loss and acting like it's some great accomplishment.

And sucked the donkey.....your point? Goe's down in the books as 29 losers and one winner that year, and that winner is NOT (you guessed it)

    THE PATRIOTS!

If Vilma goes to a team with good DTs that will free him up, he'll be effective like he was 2 years ago. JMO. I don't see Detroit getting rid of Rodgers if they get Vilma, they need Rodgers to help free Vilma up.

Vilma is undersized, but he's a tackling machine when he has help (as shown from our 4-3/cover 2 defense when Herm was here). When we had Jason Ferguson and D-Rob in the middle, and J-Abe and Ellis on the ends, Vilma was very effective. A defense such as this is what he should be looking for.

    Minnesota
    Detroit
    Tampa
    etc...

In case you missed it, the Pats play a 3-4 defense.

    Vilma sucks in the 3-4.

Vilma could loose in the superbowl just as good as anyone on your current roster.
    Come on...take a chance!

He might be better fitted in NE, where there is a NT that eats up blocks. Our NT is a 1-gap guy, so the linebackers need to be able to deal with that. Wilfork frees up guys.

    So does Warren I think.
