This is not to compare Zambrano to Kazmir or to say he is in Kazmir's league talent wise but when you look at the numbers for Zambrano with the Rays
    they were pretty good.....

Zambrano actually was very effective for the Devil Rays, in 61 career starts he went 27-21 with an ERA around 4.30.....His career record with Tampa including relief was 37-27 for a team that went 250-396 his 4 years there....

Kazmir by comparison record wise is 35-29 in 91 career starts for the Rays with a 3.64 ERA for a team with a combined record of 264-383 his 4 years there.....

They pushed him hard, and I do think this was inevitable. That is, I do believe he will have TJ surgery soon.

it was a stupid trade for the mets BUT they did trade him because they considered him an injury waiting to come bite them in the ass....hopefuly its nothing and i would still love to have him but if he ends up with tomy john surgery the mets would be somewhat vindicated. Again not that they got anything in return or anything

Keep dreaming. Kazmir's career could end tomorrow and you still got robbed.

But you did rob the Twins recently... so that makes up for it a bit.

Though Santana-Kazmir as your 1-2 would be sexy as hell.

Seriously, regardless of how Kazmir turns out, we should have been able to get a whole lot more back than Victor frigin Zambrano.

maybe i wasnt clear....the mets traded him because he was an injury risk....if he proves to be injured and has tomy john surgery...would the mets not have been somewhat correct on this? this has nothing to do with what we got in return.
