    If I were a yankee fan I'd rather see these other prospects that are being hyped up like Alan Horne, Jeffrey Marquez get a shot.

    He wants to be on anyone who will pay him what he wants, lol, rumor has it is he's likely gonna hold out until June/July when he "should be healthy" again and then try to latch onto a team ala Roger Clemens the past few years.

    What is a $1 contract worth if it's prorated per start?

    The Yankees dont need another 30+ year old pitcher when it has the deepest pitching prospect base in the league. In fact the Yankees have so many pitchers that there is a log jam in the bullpen. Thanks but no thanks.

    Not sure what he means when he says "when it has the deepest pitching prospect base in the league."

    but, if he was trying to say the Yankees farm system is one of the deepest when it comes to quality pitchers... he is right. It is well known around baseball the Yankees are rich with quality arms. Unfortunately there mostly right handed. It is very front loaded and back loaded. Most of the front pitchers are already making there way onto the big club.

    So I must ask, what are you rolling your eyes at?

    Just a lil' sarcasm @ nyjets1969 post.

    ===============

    In terms of front end, the Yankees have two of brightest in Phil and Chamberlain. The other guys I dont know them that well but by reading scouting reports and looking at statistics, seem like the common very raw/good potential prospects many teams have.

    Name the pitchers you are talking about. Was my question to difficult to comprehend? or should I write it down with a crayon?

    I'm no too high on Marguez my self... Betances is one of the back ended pitchers. Very raw, too soon to tell, but still highly regarded. Sanchez... was highly touted before he went down with TJ surgery. He had better stuff than Joba. We'll see how he looks after surgery.

    You left our Horne, Kontos, Brackman, McAllister, Heredia, Nova, Dunn, Pope, Barreda, Melancon, Cox, Whelan, Clagget, McCutchen, Ohlendorf, Robertson, Norton, Patterson, Ramirez... to name a few.
