“Red Sox Nation?” Hank says. “What a bunch of [expletive] that is. That was a creation of the Red Sox and ESPN, which is filled with Red Sox fans. Go anywhere in America and you won’t see Red Sox hats and jackets, you’ll see Yankee hats and jackets. This is a Yankee country. We’re going to put the Yankees back on top and restore the universe to order.”

But Pappelbon is a punk? OK.
First of, what he's says is fine but inaccurate. Red Sox fans are evrywhere. More that Yanks? I have no idea.
But if he really felt superior he wouldn't have to say a thing, would he?
Papelbon disrespected the Yankee team, you know the players from the roster he couldn't name. You know the roster with hall of famers and world series champions on it. No chance a Yankee player would disrespect your team like that.
and what did Hank say? Shot down the notion that US is a "Red Sox Nation", because it's not!

By the way Theo Epstein also had the gul to call Mike Mussina a bad apple, because he complained about going to Japan a few years ago.
But Moose responded with a nice one liner.
http://blog.nj.com/ledgeryankees/200...heo_epste.htmlTold of the comments, Mussina said sarcastically, "Yeah, we used it as an excuse for winning the division."

It's really sad to see how the rivalry is going down the tubes. With all these free agents, and high priced players, the teams just don't have the same animosity towards each other like they used to.
(Note to the Sox Nation, that was sarcasm)
Think about next year.
2 tickets to Yankees/Redsox $250
4 stale Beers $125
1 Manny Ramirez contract 160 million dollars
Joba Chamberlin putting Manny on his old a$$..... PRICELESS
